Gymnastics

Ok, so this morning I woke up at a comfortable 8 am. Penelope is learning to sleep 8 hours at a time and Mardson is getting over his cold so he sleeps much better again too. This means I get 6 to 8 hour stretches and I should be well rested, right? Well, that’s what I was hoping. It turns out that going to gymnastics for Mardson in a parent-taught class cancels all that extra sleep out. I’m exhausted! It could have to do with the fact that he had “one of those days” today and I had to run around twice as much as he did. More than once I had to ask if he needed a time out, and once he said yes and we sat in a corner until he was ready to join the class again. This class is only 45 min long, but today I was watching the clock. Mardson is usually really excited to be in class, so I’m telling myself this too shall pass. Sigh. At any rate, Penny was good for most of it and that was helpful. Kids are so funny! I love my little balls of energy, even when I wish they’d share some with me because I’m all out
